Some areas have less expensive properties including parts of towns and cities and the South Wales Valleys. You will need to consider where you live in terms of access to services, transport, schools and places of employment.
Renting Accommodation
When you newly arrive in Wales, you are most likely going to look for accommodation in the private rented sector. Buying a Property
After settling in Wales, you may wish to buy your own property. This is a big step and it is a good idea to get to know the local area well first. You must pay Land Transaction Tax if you buy a property or land over a certain price threshold in Wales. You also need to find your own financial or mortgage advice.
Local Council and Council Tax
